Has anyone here ever had a racing tube patched? If so is there anything different to do since it is natural rubber? Thanks

Yes, I've patched them before, and no just used a regular patch, but only ran them one season and replaced them after that cause I didn't trust it. Did you run a rim screw into it ?

i actually got a flat at the track july 4, i had the owner of the track working to get my tire fixed. he put a patch on the tube and suggested putting a patch on the inside of the tire where the nail went though

I have had to patch more than one, be careful when drilling the rims for rim screws with the tires and tubes mounted up Mark and drill them before mounting the tires and rims

thanks guys. i don't think it was a rim screw, It has been holding air. Noticed it losing air sunday morning at MMW. I haven't taken it off yet to see if i picked up something at the track.

Check the valve stem and core first before dismounting it
