firefighter3931 OP top fuel F Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 1,646 Ontario,Canada	Hey fellas, i have a friend who's contemplating a race truck. He has a couple of options ; #1 is a Ramcharger that has allready been tubbed and setup for street/strip with big tires/slicks. #2 is a 76 D100 that's pretty much bone stock and has a big block in it currently. He's looking to go 11.50's and doesn't want to install a rollbar. He's hoping to run a 3.75 stroke 440 type build. Just wondering how light either of these trucks can be made and what suspension mods are needed. Thanks, Ron

We were pitted next to him at PINKS in Martin this summer,,,nice guy,,VERY light truck,,,and pulls monster wheelies,,,,he is running in the nines....not sure how much it weighs ??

They work well with B body 8 3/4 (mine had a dana) and you can get 11" wide slicks under those trucks. With a Cal track setup and milder engine, this truck as pictured went 1.35 60ft, before I got serious and added some extra power. The ram charger will weight a lot more than the pick-up I am sure, so I would stay with a pick-up. To run 11's a big block is the easiest and cheapest way to go for sure.
