I can't believe how expensive Joe Gibbs oil is. $174 for a case of 15w50.(14.50/qt) Brad Penn 20w50 costs me $50. No brainer. If I were to run an expensive oil it would be Mobil one 20w50 v-twin oil. The offshore raceboat guys swear by the stuff, and is probably the most robust oil made...period! It's only 9.50/qt

Schaffer 5w 50 is some great stuff. Its a fully green synthetic oil.. http://www.schaefferoil.com/engine_oils.html
i believe that Schaffer also makes a conventional oil used for race that is good, i was told that alcohol won't mix with synthetic oil and should avoid. however joe gibbs web site says that there synthetic will mix with alcohol and is good for NOS

Brad Penn 50wt and 70wt oils are supposed to be excellent for alcohol too. Go to their websight and read the testimonials.

I thought about running Schaffers oil, but found out it had a lot of molly in it. I heard that molly can cause roller lifters to skid so I passed.
alot of local racers run schaffers, as a locol machine shop sells it, they have had no lifter problems or skidding. they run 20w50 w/moly
