I should be there Monday, mid-morning. It was a total blast last year. I hope to meet some new guys this time. 99 pulls would have been productive. We don't go on the dyno until Wednesday @ 1:00 PM Good luck and see you there.

Did any of you guys notice that oil pan,oil level must be at least six inches or more from the nearest rotating parts in that motor I would guess that it started as a 354 Chyrsler, knowing Gen Adams and his history with the early, good style Hemi motors
i would guess it's a 331 stroked out to 365.
very nice numbers Tom.

I think I read in another thread where it was a 331 based motor.

Yea, I see that too. Thats a pretty gnarly oil scraper/control package involved there.

The 331 and 354 use the same stroke. A .062 over 354 will net you 365. Here is a better picture of the oil pump and pickup.

Question: I looked over the EM rules, and they are rewarding the most HP/torque per cubic in. How did you arive at that cubic inch as being the best? With the same heads, wouldn't a smaller motor make more power per CI? Would that kill the tork enuff to hurt the overall number?

First I want to say that I am personally more for moral support than anything else on this project. It does use my main cap girdle..everything else is from HotHeads, the primary sponsor. I dont think they wanted to go smaller this year due to having parts and knowledge gained from last years contest. But......there is talk of a sub 300 CID Desoto entry possibly for next years EMC.
