Need trans advice/ help. New 9 1/2 PTC converter, fresh 727. Converter flashes to 5500. When the car launches it comes out and instantly hits 6500 then drops to 5500 and runs normal the rest of the pass. All this happens while its still in first gear. Trans guy checked band adjustment and it was ok. Also said if it was rear sprag it would be undriveable, if it was the pump it wouldnt run and If the clutches were slipping Id smell it and it would have burned up. Car has 300 miles on new setup and 20 passes. Car still runs same MPH as before , converter has 3% slippage. Its done this on all 20 passes. Calling PTC tomorrow to see what they say. Anybody experience this before?????
PSO headed 632 from MM. Cracked cylinder, loose valve seats, low oil pressure, low cylinder pressure.
..... Now its a door stop....
