This weekend I had a rude awakening.. I have been electronic racing for the past 8 or 9 years. Had the delay box, Throttle stop and co2 shifter. My new Challenger will run Stock Eliminator so I decided to remove all the "stuff" from my Barracuda and run "footbrake" to get used to leaving on the bottom bulb and also shifting the car myself... I have done this before but as I earlier said it has been at least 9 years. Needless to say the shift light made the shifting easier but leaving on that last bulb has been quite a chore... Test and tune last night and best light started with a .1 Something like a .125, .113, .115, constant but bad... I have talked to several racers at the track today and have had better results to day.. Went three rounds tonight and lost with a "red light"... This sure give me a different opinion of foot brake racers and all they do..... They have a lot to remember... Same as Electronic racers but just different stuff... Has anyone experienced this ???? Yep, I went through the same thing to day at the track. This was the first time foot braking a heavy street car in close to eight years. It’s a big difference from driving a RED with all the electronics. I chased that bottom bulb all day.
