I just swapped out a holley 650dp for a 750vac/sec on my dart. I have a problem getting the new carb adj. I adjusted the float bowls, but still can not get it to not run so rich it is blowing fuel out the tail pipes. I did buy it used the guy said it was rebuilt with a new power valve but I can turn the mixture screws all the way in with no change did i get scammed and the power valve is blown or is there another issue.

Tear it down and check it out.

The oil dripping is just soot that is now covered in the over rich mixture you are getting into the engine.

I bet you will see gas dripping out the venturi area while running if you look down the throat of the carb

I want my fair share

you should tear it apart and check everything...

make sure the gasket under the power valve is installed correctly, sometimes they will slide to one side or the other and cause an internal fuel leak...

Pull the needle/seat assemblies too and clean them up.

Easily could be a blown/defective power valve. But check down the carb throat for leaks too.

Thanks guys I put the 650dp back on the car. Still would rather have the 750vac so I am going to tear it all the way down and rebuild it myself. I only paid 80 bucks for it so still not a bad deal
