Mr Gasket Ultraseal with cast aluminum covers works for me. I tried Stock covers with the Moroso gaskets. I had oil all over the place. Changed back to the cast covers but reused the Ultraseals as they still looked perfect. When I need to replace the gaskets I suppose I will try the Morosos again but with the cast covers.
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

i use Fel-Pro Performance Z1611 - Fel-Pro Performance Fel-CoPrene Valve Cover Gaskets 15.95 at summit ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbs.gif) these dont leak, but you do have to re-torque them after they have been heated once then they are good to go... no leaks, reusable. i only have a set of cheaper stamped steel chrome valve covers these are the only ones i use. cork will crack and split if tightened too much and the rubber will split and deform if you try to reuse them.. i have found.

Is that for a set of 2 ? I am using the orange OEM style 4027092...aren't they the same? ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shruggy.gif) All I know is that there ain't no leaks...they don't split out like the Moroso Blues, and they are a lot more forgiving than corks. Even seal good on Eddy heads which from what I can see are a SOB to keep sealed.Ya don't have to keep ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wrench.gif) every 5 runs!

P4120101 are orange rubber from ma MOPAR. They last for years. They work well on stiff valve covers. They are a well kept secret.
RIP
I ordered a set of Moroso blues. If those don't work I will try the MP orange.

No cork, no orange silicone[ they seem to swell and then bulge]. RBRE paper for both wedge and Hemi.

All I've ever used are cork gaskets. NEVER leaked. Here's how.
Clean the sealing surface of the valve cover. Make them SPOTLESS!!!
Use a good quality rtv, to "glue" the gasket to the valve cover. Then turn them over, on a workbench or something, and put some weight on the cover. Let it sit overnight.
Then, when you are ready to install the valve covers, smear a coating of grease on the head's sealing surface, or the gasket. Torque them down, and you're good to go.
As long as you have grease around the whole perimeter of the head's "lip", the gasket will never stick.
