so awile ago i bought a holley 670 street advenger for my truck. well started it up the second time with correct oil pressure this time and it idles fine and i can rev it up to about 2500 or 3000 rpm and then it starts cutting out. i believe that the jets need to be changed but to what. my motor is a 360 punched to a 366, it has about a 503" lift cam, edelbrock rpm air gap intake, and about 9.5 to 1 compression, i dont understand the problem. seems that, that wouldnt be enough fuel for the motor. but we took two of the spark plugs out and all black. so obviously it is running a little rich.

Change the plugs and then look at your ignition

Clean the air bleeds really well. Then - clean out the well plugs in the metering blocks (you will need to buy new ones) - DAMHIK.

Answer these questions and i'll confirm what I already know is wrong:
1 What distributor do you have?
2 What ECU are you using?
3 Are you using the vac advance on the distributor?
4 What port is the vac hooked to ported or constant?
5. What is your initial or idle timing set at?

You can answer here or email this info to me at tech@4secondsflat or simply call us at 541-942-5920 and we can discuss this in detail.

The call is free the information is "Priceless"
