Aurora, Oh.
This is the first year out with the 63 after sitting last year out to get it together This is with the same engine/trans that was in my 64 that would go 9.80's @ 3100lbs. This car is 3500 lbs and I started the year running in the 10.50 range. Kept playing with the suspension, shock settings and tire pressure to get it to hook and then started tuning on the engine once again. I finally got the car to run some consistant 10.01 to 10.04 times and had a best (with this car anyway) of 9.97 @ 133mph at Norwalk this past weekend. I got down to the final 6 cars in the 10.0 shootout and then broke out with this new best. I want to thank Dave - DoubleD - for all his help in getting this car to where it is. Now the driver has to start doing what a good driver is supposed to do

Way to go Rusty . Congrats buddy. Got a decent pic of you on the line. I think if you look close enough, you'll see some light under those tires.. Car looked great. Great seeing you with you buds .You guys were in heaven..

Kinda hard to get upset about breaking out when you run a new best.

Congrats

Chris, that was with the inserts but I'm not convinced yet that they helped that much on the et end of it. I wanted to do a back to back test the same day but that did not happen. The air was really good this past weekend at Norwalk and alot of cars were running .10 better then earlier in the year. I do think they helped on my mph some as I did pick up 2. I am going to Monster Mopar in St Louis this weekend so I'll compare the air there to here and see what the difference in et is. I'm hoping by the end of the year to do a back to back test on the same day with decent air to get real results. When I do I will post them.
