Will a 68 Dart dashpad bolt onto my 76 Duster?I'm aware that the appearance isn't the same, but with four cars and a motorcycle in my stable 100% correctness sometimes takes a back seat on some things.Also what vender has the best prices on dash caps? thanks

Yes, it will bolt in. The difference (besides some grain difference) is that the ends on the 68 are shorter because it meets the lower pads.

Thanks,there's a 67 setting right next to it without the lower pad-maybe I'll snag it instead.
What's the cost of a cap? This pad is not bad but it is 42 years old and may desolve upon removal.

If I recall correctly the caps are in the $80 range (give or take $15 or so). I would hesitate to use a cap again, though. The one I got for my old 67 fastback didn't cover the pad completely.

So in the $80-$100 range + oversize shipping + color change looks like the $50 junk yard pad and a color change is the way to go for my budget. thanks for the info

Just remember the junkyard pad is porbably in the same condition as your old one as far as vinyl hardness and subject to cracking.

That was my thought too Stumpy,but the pad from the junk yard is perfect shape and the one I had was so bad I don't think a cap would have enough surface to mount to.And the "new one" was only $35

Hello;
I was wondering if you still have the '68 upper dash pad? I have an uncracked, black '69 pad I'd be willing to trade, and pay the shipping both ways if you're interested. Email address is dartman69440@yahoo.com.
Thank you,
Chuck Wasson
