Got the engine masters engine on the dyno.....
I had some issues on the dyno that ate up some testing time but we did find 40 HP in jetting and timing that was good but with the set back it got me off my game plan of tests I would like to run.
I would have loved to move cam around some but that did not help last year at all So we slamed 6 sets of headers on and off it LOL found some odd stuff like 3" collector made more top end HP and less TQ than 3.5" collector....
engine is 394 CI
10.9to1 CR Indy heads (Not out of the box)

it stays above 500 ftlb for quite a bit..
looks pretty impressive..
surprised on the stroke..was that
just due to parts available?

Do you know where the motor makes peak HP yet? It looks like it is still climbing at the RPM you stop on the dyno sheet I have seen a short( less than four inch) stroke motor almost stop making HP increase at 6500 rpm and then take another breath 400 rpm later and make peak power at 7800 RPM and gain almost 50 HP

In the engine masters competition they are only going to pull to 7000 RPM so no sense worrying about hp past there. However, I do think it could be benifitial to know if it made more HP higher up, then you would know your cam and induction were a little too big and could stand to be shrunk to help your low RPM power and get a better average in the challenges RPM range

Yes I am off on the cam it makes peek power at 7300 rpm 662 peek HP that is why I wish I would have advanced the cam more(its ground on 108 in at 102 right now)

What intake were you using for that test? And if you don't mind me asking what are the cam specs? We are testing on out SF902 and having issues with the dyno and our EMC engine. See ya at the Challenge I think we have much to discuss. J.Rob (SKMFX engines)

That was a little higher than I expected on Rider's dyno.
Not bad for a pump-gas engine, huh?

EM rules allow up to 11.5:1 compression ratio.

Thankx Brett, I just learned more than you could ever imagine, Is the intake lobe fast enough not to fly cut?

Well I was between goin up 8*@ .050 or tryin 1.7s on the Intake side with the little roller, I have to recheck P/V clearance and try the rockers now, I thought Brett was a looong duration guy, It seems there is a lot to be had using the fast piston coming off TDC

I hope you get 30.3 barometric pressure that day. Go get-em!
