I wouldn't blame John, but the media types love to promote controversy, just like the stupid American Hot Rod/OCC arguements. It gets really old quick. I like Shirley. She can be candid since she's not racing or trying to keep a sponsor and doesn't have to keep NHRA happy. She can say it the way she sees it. Kind of refreshing, isn't it?

I know John is good, I think he has proven that many times, but why does NHRA think they have to put EVERY DARN interview he has had on the show, when Im sure most uf us kinda want to watch the races. I would never say John hasnt been amazing in the sport, but there are MANY MANY more racers out there that have done and continue to do great things, and they dont get NEAR the on air time John gets. I just think its rediculous that He seems to be NHRAs biggest promoter of the sport.

is Head in the countdown? NO... dont expect coverage unless youre a player in the countdown

remember a few years ago, one of Kalittas cars WON the race and didnt get a top end interview, instead they were focused on the countdown players.

i still think thats why Grubnic lost his Strivicten (sp) sponsorship, he wasnt in the countdown and got NO coverage when he did well, what sponsor wants to sponsor a sport that doesnt give coverage to thier car when it wins... Jim O wrote an editorial about it also...

Sounds like a bucket list. Been to the Indy 500, but Bonneville is still on my list, Oshkosh air show, Reno air races (P-51s), F1 race, Carnival in Rio de Janeiro, see Nessie in Scotland, have lunch with the Dalai Lama in Nepal, catch an ivory billed woodpecker in the Ozarks, ride a yak in Mongolia, etc. I think that's all that's left.

I agree with the Force show. Its a Bit MUCH indeed. YES he is a great icon of funney cars, but Big Daddy, Ed the Ace, Eddy Hill, Bernstein, Jeggy are all awsome too. Kasey, have you forgotten who is putting the show on ESPN2? It ain't John Force and it isn't edited by NHRA before showing, it is the parent channel of ESPN And we all know who that is ,correct Tony started the incident by calling John out at the finish line, John responded and the whole world has had to much of it now, I agree with you on that. Now maybe one of your other heroes will streak the 1/4 mile at Pomona to get some air time, who would you like to see do that Besides Angie Mcbride

I agree. Plus I always go to drag race central to see the round by round result as it happens anyway. Ever since the Force Propaganda Parade has been happening since week 2(I believe), they have been showing less burnouts, less engine and driver shots, less "other" racer interviews. Thank goodness there are only 5 races left. I wish the ADRL, TOPMA, ORSCA,NMRA,NMCA, and several others would have a channel totally dedicated to the Sportsman racers. There actually are other types of racecars than T/F. LOL

411 on Shirley. If you don't believe him, just

I saw Shirley put a cigarette out on the side of one of the Pro stock cars at the Winternationals in the mid 1970s She was qualified at #13 and it was right at sundown on Saturday, NHRA had said that they would try and allow one more qualifiying run for T.F., they didn't get thru Pro Stock in time to allowed that so they announced that the staging lanes where closed to all cars except the remaining Pro Stock cars. She stormed off and snuff the cigarrette out on the passenger side of the car deliberately, what a C nt. She is a prime example of why men should have never let women vote, let alone drive or work
