My good friend Ray May in Rochester NY is making some good progress on his 56 elcamino, this car started out as a 2 dr wagon(yeah he cut up a 2 dr wagon)
but it is coming out very nice .

Now that is cool!!! I used to have a 55 and i like that dash better than the 57's.

Thanks guys I think he is doing a great job on it to.

here are a few pics of it through the build. Ron...


the back window and front bed piece is from a 71 ElCamino as well as the inside cover on the tailgate.

and the bed floor is from a early 90's chevy truck.

the rear of the door was leaned forward more like a nomad

a set of 58 Chevy Nomad strips on the tailgate.

The inside of my bed will be all steel and fully usable.

the paint is 2007 GM colors, Sunburst Orange #6218 and Dark Tarnished Silver #6223.

It definitely looks like some nice quality work and the paint looks great.

But man it was a 2 door wagon and I really think 2 door wagons are the bees knees in terms of cool.

Then again its not my car so more power to him for building what he wanted even if it was to a two door wagon.
