I have my Heater core housing out of the car. I've got another one (H C housing) for parts to put the two together as a good one. The problem is both have bad (how do I put this) card board backing/venting. It's the piece that clips to the back of the H C housing between the housing and the fire wall (inside the car), then vents on top of the trans tunnel hump up front, in front of my console, for blowing hot air on your feet or ?. Looks like I could just take it off and trace it out on something. But what do I use? Anybody?
Thanks,
Mike

If it is the black colored paper deflecter you can get them new off e-bay, and James Filmore on here might have them since he sells the rebuild kits for heater boxes. I would think he would have them. Good Luck! Ronnie

Thanks everyone, found everything I needed on E bay (DMT). Bought it all and its on it's way. I don't know why I didn't think of E bay before. But then that's what we're all about, helping each other. I did go to joanns earlier today and found some material that would work. But I'm going to take that back now.
Thanks again,
Mike

I've used DMT's kits. You are going to be blown away, super complete and fit like original parts. Wait until you get the kit to start assembly there will probably be some parts included that you wouldn't have exspected to get.

Good luck
