Too much, If you're gonna run in that area go 10.00 If you want to run 9's and deal with all the crap, run deep into the 9's.

I did it about 10 years ago, it was about $50 a month. I went IHRA racing instead and used the money for entry fees.

Yep...Div 5 [and I'm assuming all of NHRA] doubled the fee early this year. He's a friend that done the car for 10 years, lives 2 mi away and drank my beer! It was $110 in 2000.

Glad someone posted this question as I am in the same predicament right now. Labor day weekend I had to add 65 Lbs to the car to keep it out of the 9's at 2200ft DA. I already have it slowed down with a loose converter and gear and when the weather really comes around in October I will end up with a couple hundred pounds in the car keeping it 10.00.... Really on the fence as to which way to go....

If oyu are going to run 9's and incure the expenses that go with it I suggest making the car capable of running well into the 9's. Hardley worht the money and time to have a car running 9.90's in good conditions to put up with all the added costs. If I had a car that was running right at the number I woudl find a way to maek it run 10.0's for sure, with the occasional 9 second blast maybe..

Its a real pain to go fast these days, I'm all for sit safety, but on those hot days, boys is it a pain. You wont see me @ the track if its over 90, to sit in the pits all strapped up,( once they call your lane) and if then someone breaks down, you get the picture. The price to go fast just $$$, its so aggravating

Yea, this weekend we went from 1/4 mile on Saturday to 1/8 mile on Sunday at our track, And I went to the tower and showed time slips for 10.02-10.05 with 1/8 mile in the 6.27- 6.29 range and told them it would be hard to comply with the 6.40 rule and they said no problem, so we got to run . That 6.40-10.00 thing must be based on Powerglides.

A 6.27 should put you solidily in the 9.80's. Sounds like either you run a stocker or you need to find out what is going on at the top end of the track with your engine...
