I would seriously disagree with that statement!!! I just put a thermoquad on my Duster and gained power and better gas mileage. Just got 22.5 MPG on my last 100 mile trip!

Sounds like bashing from someone who has learned everything they know from reading magazines with Red Camaros on the cover.

as any carburator has its own issues. THERE IS NOT A PERFECT PIECE OF ANYTHING

as far you don't get gas leaks due the fragility of plastic bowl and epoxy glue on it, they will work GREAT.

you won't find a Factory carb with 800-850cfm and great mileage.

We can't compare with a double pumper carb EVER, those are designed for other purpouse and works totally diff. Every carb has its own purpouse, and TQs are a great balance between emissions, mileage and performance, BEING STOCK. earliers are the best due the leess emissions stuff on them

Tell him thermoquads are considered junk by people who have no clue how to tune them. What's the saying someone has in their signature here, something to the effect of "better to keep your mouth shut and look like an idiot than to open it and remove all doubt".

I have alot of experience with Holleys but had to run a TQ on my FAST Duster. I was really impressed with the design & tunability. It was a great carb. I have a 650 DP on my new car now partly because there is a square bore manifold on it and the other part is lack of tuning part support for the TQ.

Since my Challenger is going to be pulling 95% street duty I can forsee another TQ in the near future.

hi
There's a great Holley 650 sitting in the garage right now, because it would always de-tune itself right in front of my eyes. I now run an Edelbrock 650 and love it.

I'd love to find a 900 Thermoquad. I love them carbs. Kick them secondaries open and hold on. Had a 780 DP on my car when i bought it. As mentioned above it would detune it self . Any change in temp, humidity or direction of wind blowing. Had my fill with hollies. Now have an 800 Thunder. Set it once been great ever since. But i'd change it in a new york minuite for 900 TQ

Any carb is just a fuel delivery system, they all have their strengths and weaknesses. Having said that, Tell that Bozo to come say that crap to my face. Dave
