I couldn't see the name of the track anywhere. I wonder if it was the track where Richard Petty went into the stands and killed a bunch of people. The pictures are super clear.
I almost thought that it could have been Australia or New Zealand with the amount of foreign cars until the pictures of Petty and Hubert Platt came up.

http://vaautoracing.org/If you click in the link above, it will take you to the homepage of the site. The picture of the front mounted superchargered hemi in a dragster says the strip is Roanoke. I checked my facts and was wrong in the above post. The track that Petty crashed at and killed a 8 year old was Southeastern @ Dallas GA. The track that the dozen people got killed at was Yellow River which is up by Covington GA. The Dixie Twister owned by Hubert's brother Huston Platt was the car that went into the stands. The car was found in Nova Scotia and restored a couple of years ago.

The old stuff is so cool, This is a car that was built down the road from me. I got to drive it in street form and it was a lot of fun. Back in the early days when it ran the hard slicks, I'm sure it was a hand full.
Snap your neck, mega G-force launch, is all I want!

Wouldn't it be convenient to have a strip where the Rooms-To-Go wharehouse is now located on I-4.
I was there in 65 I think. It was the time where there was a transition from flag to X-mas tree. They had something like a stop light looking deal hanging at the starting line and two people down at the finish with flags. The guy in the lane of the car that finished first would raise his flag.
