does the rubber bumpers for the hood pins. does it go through the inner support of the hood. right now when i set my hood on the car it is resting on the hoodpin nut and there is no room for the rubber spacer.

wow, you need to better explain yourself.
The bumper should not go through the inner support.

I believe you are referring to a Six Pack fiberglass hood for an A12 Bee? If so, the sections of rubber hose over the pin actually go through the underbracing of the hood which leaves the top layer of the hood resting on top of the rubber hose.
