does anybody have there 2-step button located in there brake pedal. how well does it work. tried to put it in steering wheel but everytime you turn the cord wraps around steering column. maybe there is a better place to put it. any ideas would be helpfull.

Barton did have one on the pedal of Carps A/SA last year but I am not sure if it is still there. If that is how he had the SS/AH car at Indy, it did not work in the final.

Many stock elimanator racers put it on the metal arm just above the brake pedal pad. This way they won't hit accidentally at the finishline. They also put in series with the shifter in first gear only. Any normally open momentary switch should work.

a type of country dance...

a two step holds the RPM of the car at a pre determined rpm while on the starting line, (the throttle is floored, the rpm stays at 3500 (for example), let go of the button and the 3500 limit goes away and now you have your rev limiter. (two settings, two step)
there are more technical and more involved explinations that i'm sure people will post, and repost and then verify as being correct,

I ran my two step from the module to a toggle switch by the shifter and to the brake light switch. That way I can use the two step from the brake pedal and at the big eng turn the toggle switch off prior to hitting the brakes. I was worried about the engine misfireing at the big end when I hit the brakes.

Re-posted and verified for correctness.

Sorry, I just couldn't help it...

Mine is on the brake pedal. I have a micro switch that is activated by the shifter handle. When I put the shifter into high gear it pushes the switch and deactivates the 2 step.

I run mine hooked to the brake lights. I've never had a problem with it misfiring or doing anything funny in the shutdown.
