I never got the seat tracks & the related hardware with the bench seat for my 1968 Coronet 500 convertible & need to find a complete set up to install the seat. I need both the left & right tracks, along with the adjusting lever & the cable, but I was wondering if these items are the same for the 2 door & 4 door cars. It would widen my search & I would assume they are the same, but does anyone know for sure?

Thanks.

I used a driver seat and tracks from a 1968 Coronet 500 4door in my 68 Coronet R/T, everything matched exactly!

on a 68-70 B-Bodies the two door and 4 door tracks are different. Check your parts books. They all have Different part numbers.

4 door tracks work but are almost one inch taller

If the difference is only the height by an inch, then I think I can live with that since I'm only 5'-10" tall & I can put the top down too.

Thanks for the replies.

Some have a cable that runs from adjuster to adjuster across the floor of the car. As you pull the handle the cable unlocks a ratcheting pawl on the other adjuster. You may need to do something to shorten or lengthen the cable depending on which way you're swapping..

Thanks for that tip, it should be simple to correct if I have to.
