This car (58 Belvedere) was originally a 6 cyl 3 speed on the column. It now has a 383 with 727 auto (floor shifter set-up). I was looking under the car yesterday & it had one cable that connected to the handle inside the car & one cable from each rear wheel. The front cable is waaaaay too short to reach the back two, so I figured there may have been an intermediate cable which isn't there. All seem froze up, but even if I get them loose, I would need the intermediate cable. Any thoughts?

It probally has a late rear in it.None of the early ones had cables to the rear.Measure the rear.Probally a B body cable.Depending on how short the front is a wagon might fit. That or a later cable setup like a 65 has.Rocky
