68gtxsurvivor OP mopar 6 Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 654 Lexington,VA	Looking at H beam rods for my 505 stroked 440. Whats the best rod I can get without going aluminum. My 440 source rod ruined my block all rods, crank and one indy head so im definetly not going that route again.

Moparnut426 I Live Here Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 12,008 Finally a HUSKER again	Oliver, Howards, Crower, K1, King, Lentz, Compstar, Corillo, Manley, childs and alberts, All are GREAT rods, Eagle, scat, lunati, are all good rods... We had Oliver Rods in our 588, It was a good piece, Someone out there has it now in an avenger, and I was told its haulin ass again. My buddy has King rods in his late model, and it takes 30+ laps of 8000-idle-8000 rpm and still kicks it hard.

Very nice rods and needed no extra work. 2013 NHRA D4 Stock Champ #4 in the World IHRA Stock 2x IHRA Div.4 Stock Champ 14x Track Champ All using a Ultimate Converter Concepts converter. I'm pretty sure every shop that makes an h-beam rod all has the same supplier they just finish machine the rods and add bolts. Ohio's I-beam rods though I guess are stamped in house or Ohio has another company make them. I did have mine checked after I stretched the bolts a couple of times, they did not need any honing done. I have two full seasons on them now. Im no expert, but I have looked them over pretty hard side by side here at the local machine shop.. Kasey

There is NOT just one factory forging every Chinese rod. In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.
