I bought a recovery style catch can today....my question is it legal to install like it is provided. Here's a pic: Can I leave the top overflow hose open like that with the bottom fitting hooked to the radiator? Just wondering if this is legal or not....Or does it have to be a sealed catch can?

Mine has a drain on the bottom but looks the same, top hose goes to the rad.... or if you have a recovery type system put the bottom hose on... just has to be a quart size

True story; My very first time racing at l.a.c.r. back in the early 90`s, I had my sports bottle filled w/some southern comfort and cherry coke and the tech said I needed an over-flow bottle so I could race. So, I finished my drink, gathered the needed items to rig it up and have been using it ever since w/3/8`s alum. tubing and a spark plug boot to attatch to the rad. So yes, those should be MORE than legal.
