I looked at my master switch tonight while making the brackets. 125 amp momentary only. I could get another switch or use a continuous relay. I've heard of switch failures. I'm wondering if I should just add a H.D. relay and be done with it. What do you use?

I've got This on my car and This one on Ginas. No relays on either and no troubles either.

Why would you need another switch or relay?

There is a method to use a relay to close the charging circuit but it can be wired without too.

I thought 125 amp momentary load was pretty weak. The continuous load rating is only 20 amps.

I use the same as what Bill has on his wifes car...
been on there 11 years now... never a problem... its
the simplest way to do it, plus if the relay does take
a dump you might not find the HD at the track

What you guys are telling me is to throw my FREE low amp switch in the trash and buy a good one. Pretty much what I figured when I looked at the rating on the sticker. I'll e-mail summit tommorow.

Do it now or do it later You know what will happen later, Murphty will have a ball kicking your tale at the worst possible moment, at the track, on the road home or?

I have been using the Flaming River 250 amp push/pull switch. It looks like the Summit version is pretty much the same thing, but $30 less.

This - is also about the same as I have. Mine actually is the main power cut off switch used on school buses.

I was out looking at the car today and the switch I have
is the Flaming River 250... same as the Summit unit
and I would bet that Flaming River builds the Summit
unit for them with the Summit name on it

Been using the same moroso unit as Wild Bill for years and it has worked flawlessly.
