Very Interestoing! My 71 Hemi Challenger was A/M Cassette as well, orginally ordered by a serviceman stationed on Guam & delivered to Guam, no use for F/M there either..

No, the 8 track was built into the radio & required a special bezel that it poked throught, only avalible in 70, 71 the cassete came avalible & was mounted on a pedestal
either on the Console like mine was & Alan's is or directly to the floor...

Day 32
Did some say "white interior trim" ?????

...OH YEA BABY...

Oh YEEEAH! That's what I am talking about. Man, that really looks cool. That car's a jewel. So nice, how will anyone find the guts to drive it? Can't wait to see the vinyl top on her. That'll tie into the interior nicely. Imagine driving that baby home in 1970.

I’m listening.

Ok....
One month exactly has gone by...31 days. I've logged around 60 hours total.
In the early beginning some of you may remember me ranting about how the body shop F-up'd and painted the entire backside of the grill FJ6 green

I've spent nearly 10 hours trying to get it to look like it should....

alan , the body shop didn't screw that up , they just continued the theme of incorrectly painting EVERYTHING that originally wasn't FJ6 ....

sorry the line for at your feet was too long so i started my own line ...

looks good though ...

Did you use the small black spacers underneath the seat tracks when you installed the bucket seats? Did you have to shim the seats at all?

Is there a certain build date which depicted black kick panels over white ones ?? My early-built 71 Sebring Plus had blacks. Not sure if they were original. On the other hand, we've all seen white interiors with white kick panels.. Thanks.. Nice pic's.. Great work..

Here is Alan's radio, which is a somewhat rare high powered AM with cassette lead. I wish I had taken some "before" pics. The radio looked as rough as the car , believe it or not.

My understanding is A/M Cassette was the rarest radio option on a 71 E body, most that wanted a cassette would also opt for the A/M F/M...

Might be a B Body/E Body thing...I know my 71 Charger R/T had white kick panels, but both white interior 71's I'm restoring now have black

This is the original radio which was found in the trunk years ago, and removed for safe keeping
