My car has got a bog when I come off the line and then picks right back up. I tried bigger squirters, but it didn't help. It only does it when I leave on the convertor,I think the convertor is too big for the car, becuz when I shift at 6200-6300 it only drops to 5500 and on the dyno motor only made power to 5600. convertor flashes to 5000.
I first noticed the bog when I put this convertor in and now the car has slowed down.2 in the 1/8.
Any help or ideas????
THANKS EDDIE B
P.S. It's a sixpac for now,but had about enough of that too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

first thing you need to figure out is if it's a bog or hesitation. I relate a bog, with to much fuel. hesitation with not enough. timing and ignition is critical and should be checked and set before messing with the carb. if it's to much fuel you will see a puff of black smoke on the hit, could be from a number of things. if it's not enough you need to check float levels, jet extensions, fuel pressure etc.

add a 50cc pump to the center carb. you have vacuum secondaries, right?

6.5 pv regardless of the vac it makes
50 cc pump and 35 sqirter on center carb

Shift it higher, most six paks make peak power at or below 5600 RPM, your converter uis going back to the flash stall, try 6400 or so and see if that helps, unless it really struggles to get to 6400 or so I have had three different six pak motors on a engine dyno, all of them made peak power below 5800rpm and all of them run faster in the car shiftinf=g at or above 6400 rpm
