thats very low to me but its just idling, going down the track is where you want it., im thinking bearing clearance issues. mine idles at 60psi hot 75 going down the track and 80 psi cold on my motor.

Had the same problem , 605" megablock with 572-13 heads , i ended up plugging the oil way on gallery side of lifter & using the lifter bore as the restriction , i now have 25/30lb @ idle , 60/70lb down track. I purchased the motor with a spun rod bearing , maybe this was the cause.

Whats the best way to restrict the oil to the heads on this setup..I dont care to go ahead and do it cause i will be racing until the end of November at least.
I don't know the best way but I used a piece of .080 bracing rod and made a L out of it so it would fit into and under the fitting in the head so it stuck up into the fitting the line attaches onto. I hope this makes sense Quick, easy and removeable
The 572-13 heads doesn't have any external lines like the -1 heads do..Thats why im not sure how to restrict them.

Im gonna check the pushrods tonight..I told Manton to restrict them to .030 but im starting to wander if maybe they restricted them down .030 from the origanal size which would make them around .090.
is the block bushed and if it is what size hole in the bushing we use a .030 hole in the bushing

Install an oil cooler that should help until you have a chance to go through the motor
Yes I live in Michigan, so there is still 1 light on
