I bought this months mag for the F-A-S-T 340 they are building. One of the captions reads "dudek loads the hollow pushrods with assembly lube prior to fire up" Mopars dont push rod oil, I like the build, and enjoy reading other tricks on the engines they build in fast. Also there is another caption that reads, "notice the green lines on the intake ports, Gessler intentionally broke through water and used epoxy to seal the holes and blends in the contours" There isnt water they break into the push rod tubes that shroud the intake ports. I guess they has computer heads, not mopar guys proof reading this mag too... Still a very impressive article so far, and the extencive work done to the intake is awsome as well.. Sorry for the nonsence... Kasey

I stopped reading MCR about 15 years ago. They basically always covered teh same era, so eventually you've seen almost everything. Kinda like listening to an oldies radio station. When they trended towards more modified stuff, I didn't renew. And for some reason, those issues sold better on Ebay than any other magazines I ever sold.
Parts I seek:
driver doorpanel, 65 Sport Fury, prefer black, needs to be 7-8 on 10 scale, might buy set
16" x 6" Dodge truck wheel(s), from early 70s?, takes 9" dogdish - need for a research job so cheaper is better.
69-73 C-body caliper brackets and/or splashields
Send a PM.

I saw that to?? Of course, I didn`t get to look at it before it went to print, Brad (guy who wrote text) is a GM guy so he must have assumed that`s what I was doing. There`s a couple errors but overall it`s not to bad. The thing I noticed most is i need to drop 30 or so pounds.

My big block built by Best Machine has Hollow pushrods.
So does my SB built by Best Machine, uses T&D rockers with a hydraulic cam.

Figures, that s the first issue my subscription ran out on.. Dang. I really love the pics of cars in that mag. Always gives detailed pics of the engine compartments, and great history on the profiled cars. Dave, I gotta get that one at the news stand.. How did it work out ?

At least some still bounce the stories off of the owner to get their approval....

Picked it up at the store just for this write up, looks like they really worked the heads $$$$$, the intake shot was nice also, very nice work, i'm getting ready to do the same thing in the next few years but with two small kids i wont be competitive. can't wait to the next issue. Good luck Dave.
