I'm almost ready to swap the motor out of my 72 satellite. I'm trying to figure out what 360 torque converters will interchange to the 904 i have. What make and models have a torque converter that will fit my 904 non lock up?

any 904 converter from the earliest 360 (71-72) up to when the lockup trannies were introduced in ~76-77 as the converters became different also to fit the lockup trans input shaft that now had a smooth non splined area on the end of the splines whereas the older non lockups were splined to the tip.

904/998/999 converts will fit as long as they have the 360 weights on them and are not from a lock up transission.

or if you use the B&M weighted flexplate, any neutral balance (318), non lockup 904/998/999 converter will fit. including the one you probably already own.

Yeah I heard about the b&m flex plate, but I also read that there may be vibration issues with that. I had alot of trouble finding a oem replacement TC to fit this application. I found weights on Mancini's website, but I am cautious about using all the old parts. This car wasn't taken very good care of and I'm footing a big bill on these repairs. The old 318 is shot so I decided to just swap it for a 360. The tranny will need rebuilt or replaced, but I'm on a time constraint. I get out of the army in 6 months and have alot to do. The TC and motor mounts are the last parts. I looked at Schucks website and all they have is HP TC that are around $300-$700. Autozone doesnt have any that i can be definite about. Napa has 1 that will work. Unfortunately, they are not sure where they can get it. Junkyard? I will take all these suggestions and keep them in mind. If this doesnt work with Napa then weights may be the next step. Here is the Napa PN: PMT CR8H. Thanks guys.
