either crank will get the job done. can you post the individual weights of the components to get that bob weight? sounds pretty light.

bryant is the only way to go but 1777 cant be the bob wt i have done many of these motors with 7.1 mgp rods the bob wt of 2050 is more like it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuYVxeW474U

My rods, pistons, rings, pin and bearings weigh in at 1047. 6.200 billet carrillo, 4.185 bore 1.175 CH 1567 BW These are small block parts though ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif)

I think the bob weights consist of half the rod weight(I'm not sure which end?), rod bearings, piston with pin and rings and some oil. I'm not a machinest or a qualified engine balancer tech, but that is what I remember from various discusions on bob wieght, hopefully one of the more knowledgabe techs will chime in and correct me as needed or verify what the correct desription of the bob weight is ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bow.gif) ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/luck.gif)

Rotating weight (both big rod ends and rod bearings)+ recipricating weight (piston, pin, locks, rings, oil, Small end weight)
