Are there any Hi-Temp Exhaust Gasket Sealants, that are Fast Drying or can be applied and immediately driven?

Permatex "The Right Stuff" works to 450 continuous, 500 intermittent. Does anything besides Copper Plus work at Exhaust temperatures?

I will use a conventional header flange gasket, but I need extra insurance against leaks, over time.

The answer is a 3/8" thick flange.

not sure how it takes to set up but that'd be one of my 1st choices.

Thanks for the replies.

Even though these were cheap Hedman Headers, I already upgraded the collector-flanges to 3/8-inch thick.

After several years use, they were looking pretty rusty. I pulled them off, removed the rust with hydrochloric acid bath, cut off the 1/8-inch thick flanges, and welded on 3/8- inch flanges I bought at a local muffler shop (few years back.) Repainted them with 1,500-degree black paint.

Tonight I bought new collector gaskets. I like to add some sealant, as, over time, the gaskets harden up and crack/crumble.

Typically, I have used Ultra Copper on the gaskets, then let them set-up overnight before I drive.

Was hoping there was some "New" or "Other" sealant that I could apply tomorrow morning, then drive it basically right away.

This is for the header-collectors on my CJ-5 Jeep. I have TTI headers on my '71 Charger.

I don't understand why people don't try Remflex gaskets. They seal the worst header leaks, and last. I've been running them now for about 2 years with no problems or leaks. www.remflex.com

Percy's XX carbon gaskets are kind of interesting.
They're black and sort of furry textured

After they've been used they smooth out. Used them about 3 times on 2009 Challenger header installations.

Copper RTV works fine and you can start the car right after you have applied it.

TELLING ME WHAT?

I know that. But, I found them at my local speed shop, hanging on the wall. They were highly recommended by the owner. And have seen them advertised. I'd think that the poster would have done a search on moparts for exhaust gaskets, which would have listed many comments and recommendations of Remflex gaskets. Plus they have been mentioned many, many times here at Moparts.
