I just reringed my engine. I had Total Seal rings in it , I noticed the chrome moly peeled of in spots. What caused this to happen?

Also on the side of the piston nearest the spark plug , the piston land just above the top ring is very rough for about 4 in . What caused that?

Too much heat and/or detonation causes the moly to get blown off , had this problem when i sprayed over a 150 shot of nitrous.

Detonation, to lean, makes the Moly and the piston tops melt
