i wanna drop the back of my car 1".
looks like i can lower the rear coilover shock mount down with plenty of adjustability, whats the best way to hold the car up so i dont drop the rear down hard, i want to be able to lower it slowly, to put the shocks in a little lower on the mount. dont want the back of the car to come crashing down.
any help?

I would think you would place the car on jack stands and use a floor jack under the rear end to adjust it to the location you want .

it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead

That is the way I do it, let the floor jack down so it is barely holding the rear end up to have a tiny bit of weight on the shocks, remove the bolts and either raise or lower the jack to the holes you want to us

do you think the pinion angle will change enough for a readjustment?
going down 2 holes only.

You should check it now and after switching hieghts, it is always better to be safe than sorry
