Hey Guys: wondering if it's worth trying square jetting over useing P.V in front ? have 3 to 3.5 inchs of vacume at idle and am thinking maybe the P.V is closing or partially,has any one seen gains by square jetting,would like to try it in the morning... Jim,

ran a 9.197 at 143.5 mph with 1.260 60fts yesterday....

In a combo as fast as yours, with that low vacume. I would delete the power valve . May not be faster ,but I bet it repeats better

I agree 100% and in your case the pv would only be confused by the "altitude changes"

Taking the pvs out of the equation just makes it simpler to deal with

I had to play with it a little, @ first I created a slight bog on flashing the converter, I increased the squirter size of the rear 4# and sorted it out, In all I am running less fuel thru the engine and making better power, its a bg annular carb so they are a little different than holley's to figure out @ this point I like the square jetting better, in a race only car Its just easier to figure out

Air not as good as sat. but the only diff, with my car was a little noisey cleaning out the plugs during burnout.pulled the same on the run. a mopar pitted beside me with similer combo made no changes from previous day slowed 10th1/2 sec. so looks like a possible gain as well... Jim
