What is the correct way to place the stripe decal on a 1969 Super Bee at the side markers? Does the decal go over the bezel? Or does the bezel go over the decal? If that is the case, is the bezel painted the car color or stripe color? I've seen it done several ways. Pictures would be helpful! Thanks.

Where the stripe goes over the bezel hole you cut it into an X and fold the triangles into the trunk. That's what the factory did.

......FWIW, a lot of original tail stripes on '69 Bee's are not centered over the reflector that I've seen, but all of the originals had the reflector the stripe color with tape.

Here's the proof of Steve's point: from the 5600 mile survivor A12 Bee....

FWIW When researching survivor cars I never saw a centered stripe as pointed out earlier.

The stripe should be shifted forward.

Not to OT this......

But I have ( but can't find it) a few year old Hot Rod issue that had the 67 Chicago car show in it.. In it was a pic of a 67 R/T, red with a black vinyl top, and it had a white trunk stripe on it... Looked great.. The caption was " I guess mopar was thinking about the next year"...

Thought of installing a stripe on my car but wasn't sure what to do with the marker light "cutout" Now I know.... Thanks
