How big of a wheel and tire combo can you get under the back of a 67 gtx with out cutting anything??? If any one has pics that would help...Thanks

I put some 9.0" X 28" slicks on my 66 Coronet, using a 15x7, 4.25" back space police rim. Should be about the same as a 67 GTX. Its pretty tight but no cutting required. 275/60/15 street radial is almost exactly the same size as the 9X28 slick.
If you want to go even taller ( Like 29" tall )
I see no reason a 255/70/15 wouldn,t fit on the same size and B.S. wheel, just half an inch closer to the front edge of the wheel lip and a slight bit narrower cross section width.

My bro has a 67 Satellite that can only handle 28x9 slicks. These are on 4.5 or 5 inch bs wheels, I cant remember which.

I put 245/60-15's on my 67 Satellite. They fit fine, and actually still leave quite a bit of room. I'm sorta wishing now I had gone 255/70's. I'm positive they'd fit just fine. 15x7's with 4-1/4" bs seem to be the right wheel. They center perfectly in my wheelwells.

I managed to get 275/60 under my 67 Coronet.

I had to move the offset in on the drivers side

I had 275-60/15 drag radials on 7in rims for the track and 255-70/15 street tires on a set of 8in rims for the street both fit. the 275's wouldn't fit with the 8in rims, too buldgey on the side wall.
