to limit front end rise with limiters? "LA PUTITA" was pulling to the right when coming off the break. My chassis guy decided to take all the slack out of my limiters which is a length of 1/4 inch cable though the shock tower and down to the frame fastened with those U clamps from home depot. The fix worked for keeping the launch straight but the force pulled the cable right through the U clamps!

Make sure you have at least 2 clamps and there is
another thing called a a linemans clamp... they crimp
on the cable(usually made out of thick copper/brass

I am sure it could, but taking the slack out of the limiters seemed to work, so the it the easyiest fix. Other wise the ol heeerree is working well.

I forgot to ask if your using cable clamps with U bolts that fit into a U shape female end with serartion inside the big end? If not get some of them at a good hardware store, we use to use two on each end. What size cable are you using now?

And make sure you put them on the right way. Remember the old saying never saddle a dead horse.

Might not hurt to put a couple of shock biscuits on the limiters to soften the stop. I used 3/8 eye bolts (welded shut!), two bayonet style biscuits for cushion, and the steel washers with nylock nuts to make it easy to adjust at the track. Softens the sudden stop of the front suspension.

I dont like having it hit solid all of a sudden,
to me it upsets the chassis.... let it have a little
cushing

I know a lot of guys use a solid bolt in the original bump stop location. Has anyone ever tried this with washers and shock rubbers around both sides of the frame with the bolt running through them? It seems this would be easier than cables. My buddys new 09 S/S Mustang has rods welded to the end of the cables. The rod comes up through a tube in the inner fender. There is a pin going through holes in the tube and rod to secure them. It has various holes for quick adjustments. So far it has worked very well.

Years ago I use to do basically that, I use to use
different durometer rubber washers stacked up to
slowly squash them but the softer durometer rubber
didnt live all that long so I found some truck rear
end snubbers and bolted them in place on the front.
I would grind the rubber to adjust the movement of
the arms

The biscuits are the rubber parts that come from the top end of a mopar front shock. I use an eye bolt with about a four inch threaded portion to allow room for adjustment. You can see the eye bolt, just visualize the stem going through the A arm, with the rubber parts, shock retaining washer and nylock nut under the A arm
