Not to high jack but would this be the best bang for the buck if you want 550-600hp?

Anyone have an idea what the cost is to CNC port the Edelbrock heads?

well..if you can wait..

modern cylinder head has winter special ....

I paid 800 dollars which includes cnc the heads, the valve job and reassembly of the heads..this was on a new set of sb eddy heads that i shipped to them.

also included port flow sheet on intake and exhaust port..

The CNC port job you got from MCH, is that the most that the Edelbrock heads can be ported? And yes I can wait till the winter.

CNC anything is never the "most" you can get out of a casting. The CNC program has to be conservative because it has to protect for casting shift...

also. if you use a 2.05 valve the intake will flow over 300 cfm..

RyanJ hand ported mine with 2.05 valves and they peak out at 285 on his flow bench-but are 285 from .500 lift up.. There is a lot of difference in flow benches so flow numbers are only a guideline. If you need a true 300+ cfm you may want to get better heads.

my CNC IndyBrocks flow over 300 on Ryan flow bench with a 2.05 intake valve


70 duster full chassis super pro 416 CNC Indybrock heads 727 w/brake

best so far 1.212 60 6.219 in 1/8 at 110.88 9.768 at 137.81 1/4

dont know...will have to wait and see..but for the few minutes i talked to him on the phone...sounds like he gets some good cash flow from the work...

If he does run this special or group buy, I think it is usually listed in the hot deals section. If I end up geting a set, this could be an option.

Have you checked with Shady Dell? I dont know if they CNC but that is where mine are headed (no pun intended) of to this winter.
