I am looking at putting in a solid flat tappet cam(don't want to grind anything)so a roller is out and too much money right now anyway.The motor is a 10.75 to 1 365ci with ported Eddys(275 cfm?)w 1.6 rocker arms.The car is a 65 cuda@3100 lbs.The car has a 904 trans w/low 1st gear,3800 converter, and a 410 rear gear.The tires are 10 x 28.I have 2 intakes I can use(performer rpm & Victor 340)The carb is a 750 holley/proform dp. unit.What can I get this thing to run?Cam sugestions?

My guess is the convertor is gonna flash to low for you to hang any really big numbers up...you are similar to my little brothers car, but he is 200 pounds heavier and a point lower on compression.

Something about 620 lift(with 1.6's) and 258-264 ish would work well, if the convertor flashed about 1000-1200 rpm higher. With that size cam and your current vertor i suspect it will still run 11.30ish, well closer to 11 flat with the right convertor

I would have the cam ground on a 105 to 107 lobe seperation angle and install it two to six degrees advanced on the intake lobe Get the lobes that will give you the most lift and be very stable from 4000 RPM to 7000 RPMs, don't shoot for above 7000 RPM HP Pump gas motors don't like cams that race gas motors like

Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

I would do this: 251/254@ .050 .594/.576 w/1.6 ratio on a 107lca and install the intake lobe center on 101.
I've been using these 2 lobe families like this on mopars and they build awesome TQ and great HP and they peak early. Probably in your application, peak will be about 6300rpm and should carry that peak for 300rpm before it starts falling off fast.

Call Hughes Engines and talk to Dave or Kevin. My 340 was similar to you're 365, just a little more compression. It has a Hughes hydrualic 237/242 .586/.592, I would go solid if I were doing it over. In my 3300# Dart it ran a best 7.24 (1/8) and would run low 7.30s in the heat. On the intake a Weiand X-Celerator would work very well.
