Bought a set of KB237 Std. pistons for the budget motor. Took them to my machinist and we miked them to see how much to hone the block. Well out of the set of eight two pistons were ok at 4.319. The other six ranged from 4.3175 to 4.3155 and two of those miked .005 smaller at the bottom of the skirt like the were bent.

They probably ARE bent. Sounds like shipping damage to me. Probably been whacked or dropped in transit.

I've never had a set vary that much. I typically get +/- .001 depending.

Well, art is art, isn't it? Still, on the other hand, water is water! And east is east and west is west and if you take cranberries and stew them like applesauce they taste much more like prunes than rhubarb does. Now, uh... Now you tell me what you know.
