whats the trick? by the book i think i have it adj. correctly, but shifts too quickly, by the book it is the correct linkage, what might i be overlooking?? 69 340 cuda.

What do you consider "too early"? The factory spec for light throttle shifts is pretty low, in top gear before 20 mph.

Is the carb stock?
