WilliamHall OP super gas W Joined: Aug 2003 Posts: 803 Red Bluff, CA	I have a 1978 transmission that I am rebuilding and I cant remember if there was 1 bronze washer between them or a thinner metallic washer or both? The 727 Rebuild book says there should have been a plate and washer but what is a plate and how does it look?

John_Kunkel Too Many Posts Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 25,827 Rio Linda, CA	A '78 should have a 3-eared babbit thrust washer which matches the three pockets in the rear clutch retainer and a thin steel washer that goes on the output shaft pilot.
