Hello folks,
Does anyone have a recommendation for rear shocks for my 1968 Plymouth B body? I want to replace the Mopar Performance standard replacement on the car now - the one was somewhat bent from day one.

I have considered Air Shocks because I like a little lift, but in the past, I've had these on cars and the ride and handeling were horrible !

What do you recommend?

It really depends on what your looking for and how much you want to spend. A good shock to one person may not be a good one to another.
That said, for a LOW cost shock for the street (IMO) are KYB gas-adjusts, or even the cheaper GR-2's. Some people consider them harsh and stiff though.

No they are not air shocks. They are gas charged shocks. They are under pressure internally (some, not a lot)but are not 'adjustable' despite their name.
I don't think they are harsh, but they are a little stiff (I like that). And for what they are they are cheap. (meaning good value)

I agree with the KYB shocks.. My 67 coronet vert with .096 torsion bars, stock front sway bar, and KYB all the way around rides a little stiff, but I think its fine also...

The KYBs are stiff. I ran those for about 15 yrs. I switched to Ranchos 9000 which are sdjustable. You might also consider Edelberock IAS.

what about the mopar performance drag shocks?
They are longer, will they provide some lift?
Are they only for drag strip applications?
