I've seen stuff done at Faith Plating: http://www.bumper.com/ and it was real nice. A repaired 32 Ford grille and re-chromed pistol grip, door cranks, E-body lock knobs, Also Verne's in Gardena has a great rep, but higher prices. http://www.verneschromeplating.com/But really, I would look for someone in your area you could deal with face to face. There has got to be someone in the bay area/central calif. that does that. Ask the Harley guys and the pre 62 car guys that work on their own stuff. They WILL know.

That's a great idea. I did try in my erea, but most closed down and shipped out when the hippies started whinning badly. I'll ask around, but I was hoping someone on here had some personal experience with somebody.

There's got to be people still around there. The junky, so-so, and bad business skills shops got weeded out. Go to a good sized local Cruise In and ask every owner of a pre 63 car. Or go to a Harley hangout. You'll find something.
