They use the same casting as the small port commando and the aluminum magnum. The differance is in the machining. Obviously the magnum is desighned with magnum rocker stands and magnum intakes, the small port commando is machined to use regular old LA stuff. The large port commando is machined to use W2 style rockers, the pushrod hole is drilled offset to give a wider PR pinch. As cast they will all 3 flow about the same, somewhere around 230-240 depending on the bench. The large port version can go over 310cfm max ported on pretty much any bench. Useing the 2hp per cfm rule you can see the potential. Casting quality can be all over the board, some were made by Zeus foundry and they all look good, the other castings look kinda puny and don't say Zeus (my magnums have zeus on them and look great ) ).

Get a set of tuned up INDY 360-2 heads and a ported INDY 360-3 and go back to putting those cry babies on the trailer.

What the hell is this? Mopar must not have learned anything from the LA head.
Must have been left on the design table from when Chrysler bought out American Motors. It looks like a "dogleg"AMC exhaust.

It seems the rule changes never favor mopars , the chebie ford guys have a lot more parts to play with. this year super stock changed the rule to factory valve angle with no raised runner and dropped the cubic inch rule to unlimited, pushed the average cubes over 600 now, however they raised the weight brake from 200 to 300 between small block to big block, its a whole new learning curve, If I run with the rails I have to find 3 tenths to keep up, we still run at the head of the pack in super stock but they caught on to the W5s and I get booted outa the bucks, by next year super stock will be super sized in cid and the small blocks will need to be 500 cid to compete, if I move up to pro stock I need to find 2.5 tenths , I can go coil over and 3 link front with rack and pinion and 4 link rear and drop 500 lbs, pretty much rebuild the truck or just go big block like every one else, super stock will be runing 700 cubes next year, I think a A body bracket car is is my next project, I can build one with the extra time i will have from not having to pressure wash the truck

I think thease heads are great, just way over priced, I can buy a pair of complete ready to run eddys for the price of thease bare. Also the eddys will flow a little more right out of the box so once again mopar missed on the price point . All they neede to change was the intake port, it needs to be opened at the PR pinch, even in LA and magnum form there is a ton of room to make (cast) it bigger through that area The bowls are great, the chamber can use a little deshrouding where it uses the 2.02 valves instead of the 1.94.
