Id have to say a body shop would have charged probably 20K to complete the body work on this car. You guys are still doing a great job, keep it up.

And progress on your mill and transmission or are they sitting patiently until the body is near completed?

Hey Stev,I'll be at Carlsile,I never miss it. I have gone every year since 1992. I'll be vending this year. I can usually be found at the vendor spot,or in the T building with the Dayclona/G series crew. Looking forward to meeting you guys. Unfortunatly,I don't have anything for thrid gen Chargers. I only have the one 72,and there isn't any extra peices for it. If you guys were doing a second gen,I could probably help ya out.

Welding in flip flops!
I think the most pain I was ever in was when I was welding a piece on my mower deck and I had shorts on, a peice of red hot slag went down into my work boot. I couldn't untie it fast enough!

Great pix of your dates getting involved. Don't ever lose those.

If the one with the bare legs gets rust bullet on her legs, it should wear of just about in time for prom.

I’m listening.

SilverFrost Cuda Well they did it burn free! They did understand exactly what proper attire was You should see my sweat pants and jeans, they are swiss cheese, kinds like this car

Quikfish Yea ive gotten some of that stuff on me, its nasty. It sticks and if you try to peal it off it takes the skin right with...

ixelerate Well that would be a problem for me. You need a girl who has a little interested and WILL get in the car. But hey if she works for you good for you man!

JonsGottaDemon Thanks Jon! The roof fit great, that was a nerveracking job, if i messed that one up well, we would be screwed to say the least.

We got a good amount done today, nothing really worthy of pictures except what is shown. First off we finished off the front end from the radiator inner fenders forward by completely grinding all welds. Welded in this brace which we forgot about...

Then striped the door jams on both sides, this was a task with all the putty that was in there. On top of that not to our surprise we found more rust and pin holes

And finally we tacked the drip rail back on

hotairballoonpilot We dont have to try to which is good, they ask us too. Most likely because we spend most of our time with the cars and not them right now but they seem to be understanding that we have to try and get it as far along as we can for the carlisle show!

We did some more, mostly grinding, welding, and stripping but here is some pics....

And here is a picture to show the amount of metal work done to the car. This is whats left of a 10 pound roll from the welder

Well lately the project has just been welding and grinding stuff that we never finished. But we still do have some metal work to do. First i finished the fab on the new inner tub...

Pretty much welded up the drip rail...

Then on to fixing the rusted roof

Cut most of the trashed metal...

Then laid in the the first piece...

Will get some more done tomorrow!
