What is the approximate curb weight of an '01 Dakota Quad Cab 4x4? I have searched the internet and have found weights for other models but not the quad cab 4x4. My truck has the 4.7 motor.
I'll take a WAG and say 4300

I have not had it weighed yet; however I hope you are close. The reason I need to know is the used lift I bought will not lift the truck... I had a sickening feeling in my stomach when during the first test lift it failed to lift the truck... Today I talked to the Help Desk and the tech gave me hope. He asked that I get the truck weighed and if less than 6,000 lbs. (the rated capacity) then he will help me make an adjustment which will boost the hydralic system. I think the truck is going to weigh in at closer to 4,800 lbs. I'll report back later.

I have a 2000 4.7, 4x4 dakota clubcab, and it easily is lifted on a 7k 4 post hoist. I think you may be right about 4800 lbs or so.
This the type of lift I bought:
The picture was taken several years ago just before the Viper was lowered and my boys each taken for thrill rides... In this picture with lift up only a few feet it does not look nearly as scary as it does when the lift is fully lifted. These are "parking lifts" and since I have many projects I sort wish I had passed on this used lift and bought a standard 4 post lift instead. I'll admit to being nervous; however my friend who owns the lift/car in the picture now has two of these and is super pleased.
