What does this do.. Does it help with performance. Or is it just to keep the oil in the block..

it keeps the oil out of the head, before i restricted mine the oil would fill up the head and blow out the breathers,it also helped my oil press.

Bonefish, You tapped the end of the fitting that screws into the back of the block and then screwed in a carb jet into it then screwed back into the block ?? is that what you are talking about??

i tapped the end of the hose where the brass is.i could not find the exact tap for the holley threads so iused a 1/4-24 and red loctite ,its not the rite thread but its close enough that it will stay. you just have to snug it in tight.i know it sounds like a cheesy thing to do but the threads areso close it actually isnt that bad.or you might be able to find the right tap.its not a comon size.but anyway you tap the end of the hose where it goes into each head, not the head. whats that goin in?

It's not cheesy,it works fine and the threads are tight,it's tough finding the 1/4X32 tap.Keeping the oil at the bearings and in the sump is better than filling the top end with unneeded oil and flooding the rotating assemby on the drain back.

Hello Billy
I drilled and taped the Y block going into the block, for the holley jet as described above. This saved me from needing to do both fittings in both heads.
I ran a .075 holley jet, which then split off to each side feeding the rocker arms. This setup worked perfect.
I ran the Jesel system, and made my own spray bar oiling lines from 3/16 brake line. This setup seen season after season of runs, and abuse, whats nice about the Jesel system, is even running spring loads approaching 800LBS open. They never moved. I checked lash about three times a season. And it never needed corrected or adjusted. IMO if the move, something isnt right or wearing.

I cant recall what size the fitting was in the Indy Maxx block though.
I know the factory blocks have two, one 1/4 and the other 3/8 NPT...

Looks to be ONE 3/8 NPT oil galley port, can you confirm?

DusterJohn..yes that is the fitting that screws into the back of the head and then the hose attaches to it.. as was stated above you can do either the one T-block or the 2 fittings that are in the back of the heads.. i am going to do the 2..one for each head...
