I'm looking at the American Muscle part, from the pics it looks like the height is at least 5-6" when at the lowest position.

The factory part only looks to be 1" max.

Looking at the clearance I have in the car, maybe 4-5".

Anyone have experience with these on a 70 Challenger?

Thx

You will need alot of spring arch to get that to fit under floor. I've had to cut down most of the mopar adjustable snubbers on mine for mp springs.

I had an American Muscle snubber at my disposal a couple of weeks ago. There's no way it was going to fit on my wife's '70 Barracuda with Mopar XHD springs. The snubber was much too tall.

I just cut down a spare MP adjustable snubber in the meantime. (I'm working towards getting Cal-Tracs on the car.)

Sounds like I need the stock style.

Anyone know if the rubber on the stock part is replaceable? Would it be possible to add another taller piece if you wanted to limit upward travel?

Thx

Year One has the replacement rubber snubber. You might be able to add a spacer under the snubber rubber, but I don't think it will allow much additional height.

Do you have the reinforcement plate that is welded to the bottom of the floor pan?

Thx for the info,

I can't tell if there is anything welded to the floor, not all cars have this plate?

What would it look like?

On my 68 Coronet, the MP adj. snubber unit would barely fit. I went back to a stocker.
